The weather may have been slightly overcast, but the readings, conversations and welcome were as warm as ever, as Colonsay's 8th Book Festival drew to a close on Sunday. The weekend was peppered with fascinating insights on topics as diverse as: when's the best point to introduce the first body to a plot; is it possible to write about a community when you live in that community; and just how many pairs of wellies should a true islander have... Many thanks to our authors - Clare Hunter, Jen Hadfield, Ann Cleeves, Robin Crawford, Sarah Maine and James & Tom Morton - and to all those who travelled to join our 'literary lock-in' for the weekend. See you next year!
